In February 2024, All Aboard TDT was approached by Manurewa residents to support in engaging the community through events to share the joy of cycling.
Community members began advocating for safe bike lanes in 2022, yet to this day, safe infrastructure that is supportive of active modes of transport is limited.
The Manurewa Initiative is focused on community engagement and advocacy to help get the Manurewa community the infrastructure they deserve.
Why are we taking action?
To connect community members to healthy, sustainable, and eco-friendly ways to get around.
To share the joy of biking, scootering, skateboarding.
To discover our environment untouched by roads.
To support the wellbeing of our people and our environment.
Community Events
Manurewa, Mountfort Park
This event, held at Mountfort Park, was such a special day filled with connection, great kai, and powerful conversations about cycling, transport choice and advocating for positive change. Over 120 people joined us, and the overwhelming message from the day was clear:
"We need more of this!"
