All Aboard is an independent non-profit reimagining transport for Aotearoa: safer, fairer, and far lower in carbon. We're inviting a small number of committed backers to help us go further.
All Aboard’s research shows that we can make life safer, healthier and more affordable while rapidly cutting down on the pollution caused by our roads and streets.
But it also reveals how much work remains.
Climate science tells us we must urgently reduce carbon pollution — much faster than existing targets suggest. We propose a pathway that balances access, fairness and the need to reduce climate-damaging pollution at scale and pace.
We don't just ask people to change how they travel. We work on the system (policy, planning, funding and community capability) so that low-carbon choices become the easy, affordable ones.

Where we’re at today
What we achieve with very little
We’ve already created Aotearoa’s first national-scale vision for a better transport future. It brings together rigorous evidence, lived experience and robust financial analysis of the path ahead.
We’re now moving into the next phase — building the social momentum needed to turn that vision into meaningful change.
Much of our work to date has been achieved by talented and committed volunteers. Volunteers will continue to power our work, but now it’s time to take it to the next level.

Now, we have a chance to do better.
Evidence of what works
All Aboard has brought together an extensive body of real-world evidence and applied it to a local Aotearoa New Zealand context.
The knowledge and experience of people working across the sector
We workshopped the assumptions and emerging findings with people who know these systems well.
Testing what happens when we put it all together
We built a ground-up model that mapped driving, transport costs and pollution across the country, and tested how changes in what we build could change what outcomes we see.
Nothing of this scale has been attempted in Aotearoa before.
The result is a first-of-its-kind exploration of how we can make a better transport future into reality.
