Meet the All Aboard Action Alliance Members: Climate Club

Climate action can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. That’s the belief driving Climate Club, one of our inspiring All Aboard Action Alliance members. By turning climate concern into simple, joyful actions, they’re helping thousands of everyday Kiwis find their voice, their power, and their place in the movement for a better future.

Who is Climate Club?

Climate Club began as a volunteer-led passion project between three friends who wanted to act on climate change – but weren’t sure where to begin. They hadn’t studied climate science or worked in sustainability, and like many people, they had full-time jobs and busy lives.

What they realised is powerful: a lot of Kiwis care deeply about the climate but feel unsure how to help. Climate Club was born from that gap – a space to turn climate concern into meaningful, manageable action.

Today, they’re a growing movement helping everyday people find their place in the climate conversation. Whether it’s shifting your bank, calling your MP, joining a campaign, or simply learning something new,  Climate Club is there to guide and cheer you on.

Why Accessible Action Matters

The climate crisis can leave us feeling helpless, frustrated, and anxious about the future… but as Climate Club shows, taking action doesn’t have to be overwhelming.. Their weekly newsletter breaks down complex issues into plain language and shares practical steps anyone can take – no matter your background, expertise, or capacity.

Their motto? "Great detail delivered with joy." And it shows. With humour, humility, and hope, they transform climate anxiety into agency – helping people move from passive worry to active contribution.

As writer Emily Writes puts it:

“We take your feeling of helplessness and overwhelm and turn it into something worthwhile.”

Real Change Starts with Real People

Climate Club is helping shift the narrative: climate action isn’t just for experts, activists, or politicians – it’s for all of us. Through accessible content, clear calls to action, and a strong sense of community, they’re equipping people to speak up, show up, and build momentum for change.

Whether it’s raising awareness about fossil fuel financing, highlighting local wins, or supporting bigger campaigns like Free Fares or Save Our Trains, Climate Club is proving that small actions, multiplied, can create real impact.

A Shared Vision

At All Aboard, we believe that climate-friendly transport solutions must be paired with people-powered advocacy. Climate Club brings an incredible energy to this space – helping more New Zealanders feel confident and empowered to demand the changes we need.

We’re proud to have them in the All Aboard Action Alliance, where they continue to inspire everyday climate action that supports a fairer, more sustainable Aotearoa.
